Alright people, it's time for me to post feedback given by friends and my own comments. It's gonna be a very very longg post yeah and I'm going to be straightforward. =) I shall combine what my two friends have commented together, along wif mine. Hope you guys don't mind.
My own comments - BLUE
My two other friends comments - GREEN
I was kinda annoyed that we had to wait around 30mins before seating in, we still need to wait before emcee and again before the start of the concert. Totally a waste of time.
-> Lion, percussion Ensemble
- Very neat and awakening performance! I like the beat and tempo, fast tempo song! But though I felt that those drums at the second
row could barely be heard.
- It started the concert very well. It set my heart thumping, Good coordination. I ony wished it was longer. However, the people at the back were not that good. Seems that they need more practice.
Though I wasn't listening to it, I did managed to watched at the backstage. Some of their movements are not really together. I guess they are not alert enough.
-> Mo Li Hua
- For the erhu solo part, Well the person playing it has the technique and skill, but a pity quite a few notes went....off.
- Like the song somehow. Solo parts were kinda nice.
HuQin wasn't really in tune? Some mistakes made among us. Dynamics wasn't really good enough. Solo parts were good but there's always room for improvements. Think some of them have stage fright? (including me)
-> Tuo ling Xiang Ding Dang
- It was really amazing feat! Caiyun played the solo very well, we were all excited about it after the song. xD! HAHAx!
- Very melodious. The dizi solo part was especially fantastic! Beautiful! Good job, caiyun
No comments coz I dint get a chance to listen. But from the previous practices, it sounded great! Love that song very much since Genting Competition.
-> Getaran Jiwa & Han Yu Qu
- Mr hawazi sang great. The background orchestral music blend in with the singing well.
Was good. Not much of a mistake
-> Paaduvom vaarungal
- It might be weird that I actually can enjoy xD. Hahax, probably its a very familiar song sang on National Day.
- Love it! Very upbeat!
Good! All so noisy, cant hear any mistakes at all!! hahaha =D
-> Da Gui
- One of the song i was anticipating after I heard it being played at SYF about 3 years ago...but well, its was somewhat different from what I had expected?
- I was expecting more from san xian. But overall, it's nice.
HuQin wasn't really together after the Dizi solo parts? In the middle where we speed up, it was way too fast! But at least everyone manage to get together a few bars later.
-> Super Mario
- I like Super Mario! Very cute tempo!!
- I thought the melody and Bian Qu was kinda weird? Dint really like it.
A cute song with I believe most enjoy listening? However, the last four bars are really messy! I don't wanna think of it again.
-> To Zanarkand
- A slow and soothing song. I had enjoyed this too, after all the heavy beats. This is nice!!!
- I LOVE it! Like the way they incorporated the original piece into a chinese orchestra piece. Absolutely beautiful.
Personally, I LOVE this song very much! Nobuo Uematsu works are always the BEST! Listen to just this piece and U'll get what I mean.Everything was rather good. However, the lightings are kinda bright and it did not give off the Emo and Sad feeling? (to me).Not to mention the movements of all the players. We are like trees that dint move at all.
-> Barbie Girl
- Was enjoyable at the first place, but a pity it kinda got boring somewhat in the middle.
- Some of them were rushing? It obivous that the players are not together. Barbie girl sounded strange on cello and bass.
Sorry, dint get to watch or listen at all. Was busy tuning erhus. =X
-> ABBA medley
- I absolutely love this ABBA medley! It got all my attention, and i wish they just do it once more! Oh yeah, then theres an electric guitar - somewhat disappointing since it didn't have a solo part, and we could not hear it being played over the orchestra. =P.
- LOVE IT LOVE IT! Nice transition from one song to the other. Great melody and tempo.
I really love tis song to core! I was feeling alittle high while playing tis song. However, the ritard (rit) part in 'The Winner takes it all' was alittle messy and we not together. Nevertheless, we played this song pretty well.
->Chuan Qi
- Too long? There were many times when I thought it's gonna end but it didn't. I had high expectations for this piece since it's the last item. A little disappointed though.
Chuan Qi is really a very nice piece. But it's tough on the other hand. At least, everyone put in all their effort for tis song though it could be better. It was DEFINITELY much better than rehearsal. =)
-> Encore
- Surprise tat everyone actually took out a christmas hat and put it on. Some of them actually put it on the top of their instruments head. xD!!! SO CUTE!! And this is a song where everyone in the hall claps together with the beat.
- Surprise! The santa hat idea was damn cool! Everyone was soo enthu in tis song! Nice choice of X'mas song
The song that brought all of us as well as the audience to another climate? Lol.. Highing~~~ It was way fun and I really love it.
